By using the TowerLingua platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your use of the platform whether you are a student or a freelance tutor.

TowerLingua connects language learners with freelance language tutors for live online lessons. The platform may also offer group sessions, subscription packages, and asynchronous educational materials.

To use our services, you must create an account with accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

1.4. Payment
All payments between tutors and students are currently processed directly (e.g. via PayPal, Wise or similar). TowerLingua does not currently manage payment processing but may implement such services in the future.

1.5. Liability Disclaimer
TowerLingua provides the technological infrastructure for connection and does not assume responsibility for the quality of lessons, payment disputes, or behavior of users. Each user remains responsible for their interactions.

2. FREELANCE TUTOR AGREEMENT (INTEGRATED)
This section applies specifically to tutors using the platform to offer language services.
2.1. Independent Contractor Status
As a tutor on TowerLingua, you are considered an independent contractor, not an employee. You are responsible for your own tax declarations, invoicing, insurance, and compliance with local regulations.

2.2. No Employment Relationship
You confirm that your work on TowerLingua does not constitute dependent employment. You are free to define your own working hours, lesson formats, pricing (if applicable), and can work with other platforms simultaneously.

2.3. Responsibilities
You agree to:

* Prepare your own teaching materials or follow provided group topics
* Maintain your availability calendar up to date
* Respect students' privacy and learning needs

2.4. Payments
All lesson payments are processed **outside the platform** during the beta phase. You are fully responsible for receiving and issuing payment receipts. In case of disputes, TowerLingua can mediate but cannot be held liable.

2.5. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes ongoing agreement with these terms.

3. GDPR & DATA PROTECTION
We only collect essential user data: names, emails, calendar availability, language preferences, and Zoom or Calendly links. No sensitive data is collected or stored beyond what is necessary for the operation of the service.

4. LEGAL JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions are governed by German law. Any legal disputes shall be settled in the competent court of Berlin, Germany.
